The next version of Windows 10 has the official name of May 2020 Update. The company has not announced an official deadline, but based on the time they usually release security updates, May 2020 Update will be released on May 12. However, the following tips will help you update soon to this version.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > select Windows Insider Program > click Get Started.
- Click Link an account > select your Windows account.
- Select Release Preview and press Confirm twice> select Restart Now to reboot the device.
- After the device restarts, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates to update to Windows 10 May 2020 Update.
According to Microsoft, the new update will be small size because it focuses on fixing bugs in this operating system. However, this version also includes some new features such as the new Cortana interface, tablet mode is “remake”, small changes to the virtual desktop and the taskbar calendar.
Microsoft also introduced a download option called Cloud Download that helps users directly download the Windows 10 installer from internet with simplified options and the installation process will be simpler – more neat than before. The May 2020 update also includes Windows Subsystem for Linux 2, a custom built Linux kernel within Windows Features.
