Samsung’s aluminum alloy for smart gadgets. Samsung hasn’t divulged the specific metals and procedures it used to make the alloy, but its fabrication engineers say it’s 10 times stronger than conventional metals.

Introduced in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 product lines on August 11, 2021, the Armor Aluminum alloy material on the frame and hinge works as a stress absorber between different materials, making the product significantly more durable.
