Xbox Game Pass will stream purchased games and include Samsung Smart TV app

Xbox Game Pass will match Stadia’s streaming capabilities and add a Samsung Smart TV app later this year.

Microsoft’s vision for the future of gaming focuses heavily on Xbox Game Pass streaming. Fans of cloud gaming have long wanted the opportunity to stream purchased games.

Through Game Pass Ultimate, you can play hundreds of titles in the streaming library, but when the collection changes, you may lose access to games you like. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can play “chosen games” through the cloud later this year.

Microsoft also announced a cooperation with Samsung to build a Game Pass TV app. The app will launch for Samsung Smart TVs from the 2022 generation on June 30. Microsoft will “explore new TV partnerships” for Game Pass in the future, as previously stated.

“Project Moorcroft” will let creators and enthusiasts of early access games try out upcoming Xbox titles. Players will get to sample games before their release, while developers will earn feedback and income. Microsoft will release Project Moorcroft later this year.

Xbox Game Pass is now available in Argentina and New Zealand, streaming Android, iOS, Windows, and more. Game Pass is now available in 28 territories.
