MyPaint is graphic program for individuals who enjoy being artistically creative, with an easy-to-use interface and a brush system that enables the creation of endless pictures that are comparable to drawings. Developed by trained artists

The proprietary procedural brush engine in MyPaint is geared for usage with pressure-sensitive graphics tablets. In subsequent versions of MyPaint, the engine was separated into the independently maintained libmypaint library to facilitate integration with other programs.

The MyPaint brush library is accessible as a Krita plugin, and MyPaint brushes are supported by default in GIMP.
