This extension, Link to Text Fragment, is released by Google itself, allowing you to link directly to specific text on a page.
Link to Text Fragment allows you to link to a specific piece of text on a web page. Instead of linking to the entire article, you can share the link directly to the part of the page you want someone to read.
To use Link to Text Fragment, first open your Chrome browser and go to this address to install the extension. Once installed, go to the website and select the text on the website you want to share> right click> select Copy Link to Selected Text.
The web address will be saved to the clipboard. Please send this link to your friend. When someone visits a link created in Chrome (or another Chromium-based browser like Microsoft Edge), the text you selected will appear highlighted in yellow. Note that this link also works with the Chrome browser on Android.
Note: Links created with this extension will work in browsers based on Chromium version 80 and above. As mentioned, includes the Chrome browser for Android.
