Easily turn off ads on YouTube without install anything

An error related to domain name resolution makes YouTube unable to display advertisements. The error exists on both Chrome and many other browsers.

If you regularly watch YouTube you will see ads appear dense when this is almost the main revenue of this platform. However, an error shared by reedit users on this forum caused the entire YouTube ad to disappear.

This error is exploited very simply, no need to install anything. Simply add the dot after the word youtube.com on the link.

For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amyPCmf9jrw to https://www.youtube.com./watch?v=amyPCmf9jrw

So the ad will no longer appear on that YouTube video. You can even browse YouTube without having ads on the page.

According to shared on Reedit, this error related to domain name resolution exists on the browser, it makes Google ads not appear. It even works on the web. For example, if you browse the web and add a dot at the end, the ad will not display.

Because this is a software bug, I think Google will soon fix it in our upcoming product updates.
