How to install Dell Mobile Connect on any PC
Dell Mobile Connect is a genuine Dell application that allows you to your iPhone screen and Android phone onto its computer. The app also does a lot of things like managing calls, viewing messages, etc. All you need is a Windows 10 computer that supports Bluetooth and an Android or iPhone phone.
Dell Mobile Connect requires the running computer to be a Dell computer, but a sideload trick can help install applications on non-Dell computers.
Through my testing, Dell Mobile Connect only works on ASUS, HP and Lenovo devices, so try it for free today if you have computers / laptops of these brands.
How to install Dell Mobile Connect on a Dell device
To do so, follow these steps:
Step 1: From your computer, go to the Dell Mobile Connect application page from your web browser, click the … and try the remote installation. In case your device account has a compatible device, you can set it this way.
Step 2: Dell Mobile Connect can begin downloading on your device. If the download didn’t start automatically or it suddenly crashed on non-Dell devices, you can open the Microsoft Store and search for the Dell Mobile Connect app and select Install to install the test.
How to install Dell Mobile Connect on any device
Step 1: From your Windows 10 computer, go to Settings > Update & Security > on the left, select For Developers.
Step 2: Select Sideload Apps or Developer Mode in the right.
Step 3: Download the Dell Mobile Connect here, then double-click the .appxbundle file and install it manually.
After you’ve installed the app on your device, you can always install or update apps from the Microsoft Store on any device.
How to connect iPhone / Android device with Dell Mobile Connect
After the installation has finished, run the Dell Mobile Connect app, click Get Started to get started.
Select the device platform you want to connect to.
At this point the application interface will be waiting to enter a code connecting the two devices.
On your phone, you also install the Dell Mobile Connect application:
Run the application on your phone, click Let’s Started to get started.
Enter the characters in the interface into the Enter phone encryption code box on the computer.
Allow the computer to access bluetooth to connect to the phone to complete the connection.
