One UI 5: What’s new?

Samsung’s Android 13 interface will be much smoother

Samsung is creating Android 14 after presenting Android 13. One UI 5 will deliver new improvements, including better interface smoothness, in the coming months.

One UI 5 should deliver a significantly more fluid user interface

According to our colleagues at SamMobile, this enhanced interface fluidity is one of Samsung’s primary goals in developing One UI 5. To achieve this, the team of developers is improving the animations to make them more fluid and faster, which would have a favorable impact on the interface’s navigation performance.

This update would significantly enhance the user experience on Samsung smartphones, despite the fact that it may not appear to be significant. In conjunction with the high refresh rates, this might significantly improve the fluidity of smartphones.

The fact that the initial leak on One UI 5 concerns the animations’ fluidity is not necessarily a positive omen. It remains a relatively specialized function that only the most advanced users worry about. Does this imply that One UI 5 will be an incremental update and not a significant innovation? It is too soon to tell.

The Samsung Developers’ Conference, which will be place in the second half of the year, should provide a preview of One UI 5 and its new features. As a reminder, the 2021 edition occurred in October and was immediately followed by the beta release of One UI 4.

If Samsung maintains true to history, the conference will be held again in October, and the beta version of One UI 5 will be released in the weeks that follow. The first models to receive the upgrade will be the company’s flagships, including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy 22 Ultra, and the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphones.

In any case, we’ll keep you up-to-date on all the major developments and see what Samsung has to offer with the newest version of its Android overlay.
